The Nature Park Kaunergrat comprises all altitudinal levels of the Alpes and accommodates international meaningful natural treasures such as the specious – rich arid grasslands in the upper Inn valley, spacious moor lands at the Piller Sattel and the fascinating world of glaciers in the valley closure of the Pitz- and Kaunertal. For centuries the impressive cultural landscapes were “growing” as a result of hard work. The expanded high valleys with their crystal clear Kar-lakes pose as outstanding jewels. Until this very day alpine pasture farming is area widely done on those high valleys. The farmed alpine cabins are promising destinations for young and old.
