Kaunergrat (Pitztal-Kaunertal)
Cradle of variety
3,000 m vertically, three valleys and often three seasons on one day: the Nature Park Kaunergrat is shaped by the high mountain scenery of the Ötztaler Alps and reaches from the Innauen to up to the Wildspitze. Or - differently expressed - the habitats extend from submontane (700 - 1,100 m) to nival (more than 2,800 m). The Kaunergrat, the name giver of the Nature Park, rises between two deeply cut valleys: Pitztal and Kaunertal.
