Heidenreichsteiner Moor

The heart of this Nature Park is, hence its name, the biggest highland moor close to the town of Heidenreichstein in the northwest Waldviertel. The open moor area and the woods at the border of the Winkelauer Pond show over 10 000 years of plant history, which can be studied from wooden walkways that have been built over the moor (The Prügelsteg).
