In the north the stones are wobbling!
Blockheide is a varied heather landscape in the northwest of the Waldviertel, with, as it is typical for the Waldviertel, close inter-connecting meadows, small fields and mixed woods. Sprinkled throughout this landscape are giant granite blocks often in very intriguing shapes, a pyramid, a loaf of bread or as ‘wobbling’ stones (Wackelsteine).
