The "sweet" region, Rosalia
This Nature Park region comprises of 13 communes and is situated on the eastern rim of the Vienna basin. The landscape is marked by the Ödenburger- and the Rosalia mountains, as well as the spacious and fertile Wulka valley. It makes a truly colourful picture with its hedgerows and fruit meadows, vineyards and chestnuts. The bird protection area “Mattersburger Hügelland” homes the biggest national habitat of the common scops owl in Austria.
