Experience the World of Nature parks – Economic Effects

Convention „Experience the World of Nature parks – Value and Regional Economic Effects”

The ARGE Burgenländischer Naturparke invited to a convention in the nature park Weinidylle. Over 100 participants from six different nations were attracted to the south of Burgenland.
11 speakers from science and economic gave interesting and exciting speeches as well as theoretical and practical examples about the topic of the convention.
For instance, due to analyses done by experts focusing on the “perceived value” of the Burgenländische nature parks it shows the influence of the “brand nature parks” on customers. The brand is an essential decision factor whether visitors come to the park or not.
Projects such as the donkey trekking in nature park Jauerling – Wachau, the waterplaypark in Eisenwurzen and the tree-tops-walk in Kopfing were represented as successful tourist recreation areas close to a town. Nevertheless, in Bildein the view went beyond Austrian boarders: Germany’s nature parks were exposed as unknown image carriers and the Swiss view was focusing on the conflict or chances at the connection between “regional economy – nature – culture”.
The convention offered a comprehensive social programme such as the visitation of the history house, the guiding through the basement district of Heiligenbrunn, the vine museum in Moschendorf, the visit of the nature conservation meadows in Luising, and the visit of the renewable energies of Güssing.
Participants took long lasting memories home due to the hospitality of the mayor Mr. Schlaffer, the beautiful nature park, the exquisite local specialities and the musical cabaret.
